Charles “Chas” Carter focuses his practice on advocating for clients facing difficult challenges in civil litigation. He has experience across state and federal courts representing large corporations, small businesses, and municipal entities in matters ranging from contractual disputes to departing employee litigation to complex commercial cases. Chas values the unique nature of every situation and thoughtfully serves each client with pragmatic representation tailored to their needs.
Chas received his JD from the SMU Dedman School of Law. There, he served as a Vice Chair for the Board of Advocates, as well as a Notes Editor for the SMU Science & Technology Law Review. Chas also extensively competed in interscholastic advocacy competitions including National Moot Court, TYLA State Moot Court, Wagner National Labor & Employment Moot Court, Mack Kidd Administrative Law Moot Court, and the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
