GxB Secures $500,000 Jury Verdict in Jefferson County, Texas

Griffith Barbee obtained a successful jury verdict Thursday in Jefferson County for our client, Texas-based furniture chain, Home Zone, in a breach of contract dispute with Academy Sports + Outdoors. The jury awarded $507,394 in actual damages for Home Zone.

“We’re proud to represent such a great family-owned company and are pleased the jury awarded Home Zone the exact actual damages amount we requested” said partner Michael Barbee.

Casey Griffith and Gracen Daniel led the trial team as first and second chair, respectively, and were joined by Michael Barbee, Ashley Norton, and Annie Dzurilla.
