Griffith Barbee Team secures unanimous jury verdict and punitive damages in federal court breach of contract and fraud lawsuit.
Griffith Barbee recently obtained a successful, unanimous jury verdict in a week-long trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in a breach of contract and fraud lawsuit. Griffith Barbee represented a high-net-worth individual who was defrauded by two entrepreneurs into investing in their automotive startup company. The verdict included an award of $850,000 in actual damages and $702,000 in punitive damages. Griffith Barbee also secured recovery of its attorneys’ fees and expenses for its client.
