Winston Huff is a trial attorney whose practice centers on complex intellectual property and commercial litigation. He represents technology companies, research institutions, and manufacturers in patent-infringement, trade-secret, and trademark disputes nationwide.

Winston has served as lead counsel in matters involving oil-and-gas equipment, chemical-remediation processes, OLED display technologies, network-security systems, and authentication software. His clients range from emerging innovators and universities to established engineering and energy-services companies. He is known for his strategic, element-by-element approach to infringement analysis, his technical fluency, and his practical business judgment.

Before joining Griffith Barbee, Winston practiced with a mid-sized full-service law firm where he handled high-stakes patent and commercial disputes in federal courts across the country and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In addition to his IP practice, Winston maintains an active probate and business-governance docket, frequently representing LLCs, creditors, and heirs in disputes over estate property and ownership interests under the Texas Estates Code and Texas Business Organizations Code.

Winston serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Association (TXIPA) and is active in professional programs promoting excellence in IP practice across Texas. At Northwestern, Winston was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society and Student Bar Association Faculty Appointments Committee and participated in the Julius H. Miner Moot Court Competition.
